Job Description

OCA - Office for Contemporary Art Norway is seeking an experienced professional to lead its public programme. As Head of Programme, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's position as a prominent contemporary arts institution.

  • Develop and execute OCA's public programme and publishing, working closely with international audiences and networks of artists, curators, and art professionals.
  • Strengthen collaborations and partnerships with external institutions, organisations, and stakeholders to develop OCA's international position.
  • Oversee the implementation of commissioned projects at international events such as the Venice Biennale, working closely with selected curators and artists.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in contemporary art and execution of public programmes, relevant education, and team management. A strong candidate should demonstrate a proven competence in curating and realising larger projects and building international networks.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for exploring new technologies and digital platforms, as well as a curiosity about speculative futures. Knowledge of community-building and global connections is also desirable.
