Key Responsibilities

  • Build, own, and run backend services with a focus on codebase ownership, high standards of quality, maintainability, and scalability.

  • Design and develop software data structures that map complex logistics scenarios to simple solutions.

  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical and architectural decision-making, ensuring alignment with goals and user needs.

  • Collaborate with product teams and engage with stakeholders to understand user needs, providing valuable input to improve our product.

  • Be part of a modern product team, motivated by solving real user problems and meeting their needs with effective solutions.

  • Lead end-to-end development of the backend application, from idea to deployment, ensuring high quality standards in every phase.

  • Continuously improve performance, usability, and responsiveness of our product to deliver a world-class user experience.

  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team.

Technology Stack

We use React, Typescript, NextJS, React query, Redux, Pusher, Kotlin/Java, Go, PostgreSQL, and Google Pub/Sub with Protobuf. Our technology choices are deliberate, driven by careful consideration of trade-offs and suitability for our needs.

What We're Looking For

Beyond that, we imagine you have some of the following points on your resumé:

  • 5+ years of experience in a modern tech environment, especially in backend technologies.

  • Experience with Go, Kotlin, or Java.

  • Experience with relational database technologies.

  • Experience with major cloud providers and tools, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, GitHub actions.

  • Nice to have experience with event-driven systems.

  • Nice to have experience with frontend development using React or Websockets (or SaSS products for consuming events like Pusher).

  • BSc Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
