About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at PALFINGER AG. As a key member of our software department, you will be responsible for designing and programming PLC software in TIA portal, preparing test documentation and user manuals, and providing technical support to our test and commissioning team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of control systems for cranes, winches, and access equipment.
  • Test and commissioning of control systems, including some traveling requirements.
  • Preparation of test documents and user manuals.
  • Technical support to commissioning and service departments.

Requirements:

  • Automation/Mechatronics/Software Engineer with a Master's degree.
  • Experience in programming PLC and HMI/SCADA systems, with a preference for Siemens systems (TIA Portal).
  • Experience in programming with SCL, FBD/LAD.
  • Experience in preparation and commissioning of frequency drives.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of motion control and motion compensation.
  • Experience with active heave compensation is an advantage.
  • Experience in Matlab/Simulink is an advantage.
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken.
