Job Description

Oceaneering is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Project Analyst to join our team in Stavanger, Norway.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing monthly internal and external reporting, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Support Project Managers and project teams in evaluating profitability and making informed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain customer reporting requirements on programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Project Manager to create short-term and long-term plans, as well as rolling forecasts for projects and programs.
  • Record forecast and free cash flow at the project level, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare project close entries and correct data entry errors, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
  • Contribute to bid review preparation and development, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Support variance analysis and reconciliations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist with asset management and customer collection, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the regional finance lead on external SOX compliance and testing, as well as external regulatory reporting and compliance.
  • Drive the implementation of financial standards within the organization, promoting consistency and best practices.
  • Support UAT testing, ensuring seamless system integration.
  • Support tax reporting requirements, meeting all necessary deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including responsibilities outlined in the RASCI model related to your area of work.
  • Travel to sites as needed to understand operations and provide support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 0-6 years of relevant experience; graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles and the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Knowledge of modeling concepts.
  • Able to view the big picture with a good grasp for details.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with reporting under local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of current ERP systems.
  • International experience is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • A collaborative working style and ability to work across multiple geographies and with a distributed workforce.
  • Systematic, solution-oriented, and flexible.
  • Solves problems and acts decisively on problems of moderate complexity and financial risk.
  • Work independently with limited oversight.
Estimated Salary: 550,000 - 650,000 NOK per annum
