About the Position

This is a permanent position with tenure, and the successful candidate will have full operational responsibility for their research and funding. You will develop and manage an independent scientific programme, preferably in collaboration with other colleagues, and apply for funding to support your research.

You will teach courses, supervise students, and participate in statistical advising, with approximately half of your workload dedicated to these activities. The UiO has programmes that recognize excellence in teaching, and as a statistical adviser, you will recommend state-of-the-art approaches and tools to researchers in the biomedical field who require support.

The Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology (OCBE) is a joint department of the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital. Our research is internationally recognized, particularly in areas such as time-to-event models and causal inference, epidemiology of lifestyle and chronic diseases, and statistical machine learning.
