About the Role

Spektrum is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Stavanger, Norway. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients with professional services, specialized aerospace and defense sales, delivery, and operational subject matter expertise.

About the Program

The NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) is a NATO establishment focused on improving the Alliance's operational capabilities through training and exercises. As a Cyber Subject Matter Expert, you will be part of the Exercise Control (EXCON) structure, which is responsible for delivering each full exercise cycle. You will work closely with EXCON staff, NATO component commands, Training Audience (TA) Headquarters, Partner Nations, and other augmenters' positions to establish the conditions needed by the TA to achieve the exercise aim and objectives.

About the Role Responsibilities

As a Cyber Subject Matter Expert, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing OPFOR CYBER incident and storyline development in the Joint Exercise Management Module (JEMM).
  • Ensuring that all OPFOR CYBER incidents and injects in JEMM are focused on strategic and operational level effects.
  • Supporting MEL/MIL Scripting, including JEMM, and translating guidance from OPFOR command cell and OPFOR J35 into a deliverable plan.
  • Actively supporting and advising assigned MEL/MIL workshop syndicate(s) on OPFOR CYBER implications related to incidents and injects.
  • Coordinating, synchronizing, and de-conflicting OPFOR CYBER injects in JEMM across the overall exercise battle rhythm.
  • Contributing to the OPFOR Operational Design from a CYBER domain perspective.
  • Advising OPFOR command cell and OPFOR J35 in cyber warfare.
  • Briefing the OPFOR CYBER team on the cyberspace package.
  • Attending boards, working groups, syndicates, and other meetings as directed by OPFOR command cell and OPFOR J35.
  • Performing other OPFOR CYBER tasks as directed by the OPFOR command cell and OPFOR J35.
About the Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 4 years previous military experience within the last 12 years in the operational CYBER domain, reaching the rank of OF3/OF4 (suitably experienced OF2/OR7+ considered by exception based on expertise and relevant staff experience).
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of NATO's CYBERSPACE operations Operational Planning Procedures and Processes.
  • Experience of NATO or National Operational Exercises.
About the Working Environment

This role will be based in Stavanger, Norway, and will require some travel to other NATO sites. You will be working on-site and will need to have a valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
