Job DescriptionSales Engineer for Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems
As a Sales Engineer with our Ship Electrification Solutions team, you will be involved in multiple sales projects configuring solutions for hybrid and electric propulsion systems. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to cover the whole scope from early sales phases to deal transfer to the project execution team.
To ensure the best value proposition and solution configuration, you will coordinate technical bids with our global front-line sales force and suppliers of solution components like generators, converters, batteries, transformers, or e-motors.
Estimated SalaryBased on industry standards and location, we offer a competitive salary of approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities- Define and tailor technical content and scope of solutions based on customer discussions and front-line sales force input.
- Engage in technical discussions with counterpart experts from shipyards, owners, and design companies.
- Create technical bids, including formulation of technical and commercial documentation for solution proposals based on customer requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in the sales phase and support Sales Teams.
- Prepare technical solutions and cost and sales price calculations for components, sub-assemblies, installation, commissioning activities, and training.
- Coordinate order transfers from Sales and Sales Engineering to the Project and Engineering execution team.
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in a relevant area (Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology), or equivalent.
- Professional experience, especially in power generation plants, control, and converter technology.
- Structured and practical way of working with a hands-on attitude.
- Passion for exploring technical and commercial solutions to provide value to customers.
- English language proficiency (written and spoken).
