About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team at Wellit UK Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement database systems to meet the needs of our business, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Database Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that our database systems meet the highest security and compliance standards, including data encryption and access control.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our development team to ensure that database systems are integrated with our applications and meet the needs of our business.
Requirements
  • Relevant Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Oracle Expertise: Proven experience with Oracle technology, including Oracle Database, Oracle Application Express, and Oracle REST Data Services.
  • Database Skills: Strong skills in database design, implementation, and maintenance, including database modeling, normalization, and indexing.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
