About the company

Oliasoft develops and sells advanced engineering software used for planning and construction of wells for the Oil and Gas, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Geothermal industries. Our first product, Oliasoft WellDesign, was launched in 2020 and we have signed agreements with several key clients, including Equinor and Vår Energi.

Our Sales department is responsible for ensuring that our customers achieve their desired outcomes with Oliasoft products. We are passionate about building strong relationships with our customers and proactively identify solutions together. Internally in Oliasoft we work tightly with the Marketing, Customer Success and Product teams to provide insights from our customers to the rest of the organisation. We are now looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager for Europe. As a Sales and Business Development Manager you will establish and nurture both current and customer relationships. The position reports to the CCO in Norway.

As a Sales and Business Development Manager at Oliasoft you will
:

  • Strengthen and expand sales activities in Europe, ensuring renewal of existing contracts while driving new revenue opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the region
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to contract closure and handover—working closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities to accelerate growth in the European market
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our products, services, and value proposition
  • Collaborate closely with our global sales teams in the US, Middle East, and APAC to ensure alignment and leverage shared insights
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to support strategic planning and positioning

To succeed in this role you should have
:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience from Upstream Oil a& Gas / Drilling industry, for example Drilling Engineering, or Sales and/or Business Development.
  • Network in D&W
  • Experience from or with SaaS Engineering software
  • B.Sc / M.Sc – Petroleum Engineer is a plus
  • A curious and open mindset
  • Experience with stakeholder management and managing customer relationships
  • Proactive warm and cold outreach skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Confidence in holding presentations
  • The ability to keep calm when working under pressure and deliver on promise
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal. Norwegain skills is a plus
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be self-driven.
