Sous Chef Wanted – Join the Kitchen Team at Skarsnuten Hotel ‍

Skarsnuten Hotel is looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team ahead of the upcoming season. This is a key leadership role for someone who is passionate about food, teamwork, and delivering great guest experiences.

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and be an important part of the daily operation and development of our kitchen.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Take responsibility for food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
  • Plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal planning
  • Ensure routines for hygiene, food safety, and HSE are followed
  • Contribute to ordering, stock control, and cost awareness
  • Step in as acting Head Chef when required
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef background
  • Is structured, reliable, and calm under pressure
  • Enjoys leading and developing people
  • Has a genuine passion for food and quality
  • Is curious, solution-oriented, and eager to improve
  • Thrives in a busy, seasonal hotel environment
