As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in defining architecture and technical strategy while working on high-scale, cloud-native systems that power billions of calls per month for hundreds of millions of end users. What You'll Do
- Own architecture decisions and drive complex software design initiatives that ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design, build, test, and deploy cloud-native solutions in an AWS environment, leveraging best practices for speed, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with empowered cross-functional teams—Product, Engineering, Design, and DevOps—to deliver mission-critical features.
- Advocate for and implement engineering excellence, optimizing applications for maximum scale and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews (Pull/Merge Requests) and foster a culture of collaboration and technical rigor.
- Be a trusted technical leader, mentoring peers and influencing best practices across the software development lifecycle.
ABOUT YOU:
What We're Looking For:
- Staff Engineer mindset with proven ability to lead architecture design, solve complex challenges, and drive projects end-to-end.
- Extensive backend expertise with experience in Golang and/or similar backend languages; PHP and JavaScript are acceptable with strong experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development (preferably more), demonstrating senior-level ownership and leadership.
- Strong background in system design and architecture, building scalable, maintainable, and reliable systems.
- Solid understanding of data-driven design, including RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Ability to think language-agnostic, with deep backend knowledge and flexibility across modern technologies.
OUR OFFER:
- A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and US) including various social events and teambuilding.
- Flexibility to manage your workday and tasks with autonomy.

The energy, shared ideas, and team support we experience in the office strengthen the foundation of our success and culture. For this reason, we are an office-first business operating on a hybrid model, with team members working in the office three days a week to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow together.
OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
- Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.
- Onsite (Online) Interview: Meet with the local team in person (or online) and discuss your experience as also the position further in detail.
- A short (home) task: to showcase your technical skills.
