About the Role

As
Lead Frontend Developer
at OTee, you will own a shared responsibility for the frontend components, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of industrial automation and control systems. You will craft the user-facing interfaces that make complex industrial automation accessible and intuitive. You'll build performant, maintainable, and beautiful web applications that empower engineers and operators to interact with automation systems in ways that feel natural and efficient. Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend Development

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies and frameworks
• Build IDE-like environments and developer tooling interfaces, including code editors, configuration panels, and workflow builders
• Develop marketplace and platform features such as extension systems, plugin architectures, and third-party integrations
• Establish and evolve our design system and component library, ensuring consistency, reusability, and accessibility across all products
• Own frontend architecture decisions, implementing scalable patterns that support rapid feature development without sacrificing code quality
• Optimize application performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals, bundle size, loading strategies, and runtime efficiency
• Implement responsive, accessible interfaces that work seamlessly across devices and browsers
• Collaborate closely with backend and embedded systems teams to design and consume RESTful and real-time APIs
• Build and maintain complex data visualizations and interactive dashboards for monitoring and controlling industrial systems
• Establish frontend testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests

Technical Input

• Play an important role in contributing to the product vision and roadmap in collaboration with UX/UI function
• Participate in data-driven product decision-making, translating analytics and user feedback into UX/UI implementation
• Evaluate and integrate new frontend technologies, frameworks, and tooling that enhance developer experience and product quality

Education & Experience

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience building production web applications
• Proven track record of building and maintaining
  design systems
  and
  component libraries
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks and methodologies
• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail in UI/UX implementation

(Technical) Skills

Core Frontend Fundamentals:

• TypeScript (required), modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
• Experience with at least one major framework (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte), ability to learn and adapt to different frameworks quickly
• Experience with code editor integrations (Monaco Editor, CodeMirror, or similar)
• Experience writing automated tests
• Real-time data handling with WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or similar protocols
• Git workflows, branching strategies, code review practices
• Understanding of
  web performance optimization
  : lazy loading, profiling, memory management, bundle optimization
• Progressive Web Apps (PWA) concepts and implementation
• CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications

Nice to have:

• Understanding of RxJS
• Experience with CRDT for real-time collaboration
• Experience writing GraphQL clients
• Handling large datasets efficiently in the browser
• Component library development and documentation (Storybook, or similar)
• Micro-frontend architectures and module federation
• Basic understanding of backend technologies and API design
