Vår Energi is seeking experienced Reservoir Engineers to join our subsurface team at one of our office locations. Successful candidates will be expected to work within multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate a proven track record of delivering value through the integration of key subsurface data to optimise production and maximise reserves at the well, reservoir, and field level.

Key Responsibilities
As a key contributor within multi-disciplinary teams, you will lead, execute, and deliver reservoir engineering studies that inform and support strategic business decisions.

Your assignments may include a combination of the following responsibilities:

  • Integrating data and interpretations from a wide range of subsurface disciplines
  • Conducting studies and providing recommendations on reservoir-related topics such as characterization and simulation, drainage strategies, reservoir management, well planning, drilling and well operations, and production Optimisation.
  • Mentoring early-career colleagues to foster professional growth
  • Participating in internal and external peer reviews as needed
  • Attending license meetings with external stakeholders when required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' relevant experience in reservoir engineering
  • Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in petroleum or reservoir engineering
  • Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
