The position
We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Innovation Engineer who will play a key role in our New Technology team, working on the next generation of Alva's high-performance electric motors. . In this dynamic role, you'll design and optimize advanced solutions that meet performance, cost, and quality targets. Working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you'll ensure seamless integration from concept to production.

This is more than a technical position — it's an opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and drive the next generation of Alva electric motors.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of early-stage innovation—turning emerging ideas into viable concepts that shape the future of product development.

We're looking for a collaborative and self-driven engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary teams, brings energy and organization to every challenge, and approaches problems with both creativity and credibility. You'll contribute fresh technical insight, embrace feedback, and play a key role in transforming bold ideas into the next generation of breakthrough solutions.

Key tasks in this tole

  • Generate and evaluate innovative product and process ideas based on emerging technologies, customer insights, and business strategy (new manufacturing tooling concepts, winding encapsulation methods, etc.).
  • Identify, assess, and integrate emerging technologies, materials, and methods that could enable next-generation solutions (coatings, winding termination, composites, etc).
  • Design experiments, simulations, and test setups to assess technical feasibility, performance, and value potential.
  • Develop concept qualification documents, technical reports, procurement specifications, and engineering documentation to support project handover or scaling.
  • Perform technical risk assessments, cost–benefit analyses, and manufacturability evaluations to ensure robust concept selection.
  • Support transition of validated concepts into development or production teams, providing technical insight and lessons learned.

What Are We Looking For
Essential:

  • Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3–5 years in design and manufacturing processes, preferably within an industrial or product design environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in early-stage concept creation, validation, and maturation.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills with a proven ability to develop and refine innovative solutions.
  • Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working beyond traditional engineering boundaries, particularly in multidisciplinary contexts.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred:

  • Experience with electric motors or composite materials is considered a plus, but not mandatory.
