Automation Technician – Contract (Oslo)

We're looking for an experienced Automation Technician to join a leading engineering and technology company on a contract basis in Oslo.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain automation systems, instruments, and control equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation.
  • Support commissioning and upgrades of automation systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to implement technical improvements.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Technical education in automation, electronics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as an automation technician within industrial, manufacturing, or energy environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (such as Siemens or ABB) and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Good communication skills in English; Norwegian is an advantage.
  • Available to work on site in Oslo.
