Market Place Assistant (Student worker/Part time)

Are you ready to help shaping the future of the Nordic Power Derivatives market? We are looking for two Market Place Assistants to join the Nord Pool team, focusing on the Euronext Power Futures offering. This is a hands-on, operative part time role for someone who wants to understand how energy markets work from the inside and contribute to building a robust and transparent trading environment.

Core work hours: 14:45 – 18:30 CET but is expected to work within ordinary opening hours (07:30-19:15 CET) during holidays, summer and on request. Working days and times are to be agreed with the students.

Please note that this is not a remote position. The chosen candidate will be expected to work from our office in Lysaker on a regular schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist existing Exchange Desk team on the following:

• End of day routines (Price management etc.)
• Operating the marketplace and contributing to making the marketplace operate efficiently daily
• Continuous improvement in operational efficiencies and tools to enhance the day-to-day operational activities
• Cooperate with other departments to assure excellent customer service
• Building knowledge about how our trading systems work and assist in verification processes.
• Other ad-hoc tasks

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be a student with at least two years left of studies, focusing on business, finance, energy or similar subjects.

• Exceptional communication, time management and relationship-building skills
• Accurate / Reliable / Team oriented with good social skills
• Strong numerical skills / Strong sales drive / Ability to maintain customer relations
• Fluently communicate in English and in one Scandinavian language, both written and verbally.
