AKVA group ASA is seeking a
Head of Engineering
to lead and enhance our technical engineering team in delivering top-tier solutions for our land-based aquaculture projects.
Your Role
As
Head of Engineering
, you will be responsible for building, managing, and motivating a strong technical team while ensuring smooth project execution. Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing engineering processes, integrating new systems, and driving continuous improvement in methodologies and standardization. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align objectives and achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering tools, methodologies, and standardization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, QA, Supply Chain, Operations) for seamless execution.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Ensure the allocation of competent engineering resources to projects.
- Provide technical expertise to customers and support sales processes.
- Communicate challenges and solutions effectively with stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Experience: 8-10 years in engineering, and solid leadership experience.
- Education: University degree in engineering.
- Industry Background: Experience in aquaculture, process industry, or water treatment is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong leadership with a motivational and hands-on approach.
- Structured with excellent technical understanding.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (Norwegian & English fluency required).
- Result-oriented with a track record of execution and follow-up.
