About the position

We are seeking a postdoc fellow in translational proton therapy research at our new, state-of-the art preclinical proton therapy facility at Oslo University Hospital. The project aims to develop a novel strategy for proton therapy, combining metabolic drugs with proton irradiation to improve treatment outcomes of patients with prostate cancer. A central objective is to establish a robust preclinical pipeline for proton-drug combination therapies, integrating medical imaging and digital histopathology, with a goal for future clinical translation.

Work will be carried out in a cross-disciplinary team spanning radiation biology, physics, oncology, radiology, and pathology, with close links to our clinical collaborators at the hospital. The position is available for 3 years, with the possibility of extension.

Oslo University Hospital is a workplace with great diversity. We believe this is crucial for solving our tasks in the best possible way. We want this diversity to be reflected among the applicants for our positions, and we encourage all qualified candidates, regardless of background, to apply
