Software Engineer Intern

AutoStore is offering a Software Engineering Summer Internship at our office in Lysaker, Oslo, for the summer of 2026. Join our fast-growing, world-leading company in robotic warehousing and gain practical experience working with APIs, databases, authentication solutions, and cloud technologies that support our analytics and logistics platforms.
As an intern, you'll work alongside our experienced Software Engineers in the Analytics team, contributing to meaningful projects while developing your skills in Python, REST APIs, and cloud-native services.
The internship will last approximately 6 weeks, from mid-June to late July 2026.
What you'll do:
As a Software Engineering Intern, you'll support the team on ongoing development work while gaining hands-on experience in modern back-end technologies. You'll take part in coding tasks, testing, small feature implementations, and cross-functional collaboration.
Some of the tasks you can expect to work on are:
- Support the team in developing and improving back-end features and services
- Assist in implementing smaller updates or improvements related to authentication and access management
- Take part in cross-functional collaboration with developers, designers, and product teams
Who you are:
- A student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or a related field
- You have basic experience with Python programming and an interest in developing back-end systems
- Familiarity with Linux, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, or cloud platforms (Azure or similar) is a plus
- You are curious, eager to learn, and motivated to contribute to real engineering projects
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
- You are reliable, structured, and able to follow guidance while bringing your own ideas to the table
