Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Promotional Sales Representative located in Ålesund, Norway for the 2026 season. The role involves engaging with tourists and visitors to promote Bytoget's sightseeing tours and packages, assisting customers with bookings and inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. Additional responsibilities include distributing promotional materials, collaborating with the team to meet sales targets, and ensuring that Bytoget's high standards of hospitality are maintained at all times.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
  • Sales and promotional skills, with the ability to effectively present tour options and close bookings.
  • Customer service experience, including handling inquiries and delivering solutions in a professional manner.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages, particularly Norwegian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Dutch, is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic tourism environment.
  • Experience in the tourism or hospitality industry is an advantage.
