Job Summary:

We are looking for a VP Finance who thrives in a transforming environment, loves technology and knows how to turn numbers into action. Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of internal and external finance resources, you will play a pivotal role strengthening Airthings' financial foundation, optimizing operations and driving insight-based decisions across the company. You will work closely with the leadership team combining financial discipline and subject matter expertise. This is a role with a truly wide scope, steep learning and with large impact in an international tech environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial consolidation process and ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated profit & loss reports and key financial metrics, providing management with clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate the company's forecast and budgeting process, including preparation of budget documentation, variance analysis, and management presentations.
  • Oversee the timely preparation of the Annual Report and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Manage tax reporting processes, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial models and forecasts across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the CFO with financial presentations and reports for monthly and quarterly management reviews with the leadership team, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Provide guidance and support to local finance teams, ensuring consistency in financial reporting and adherence to corporate policies.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality as well as use of accounting software and reporting tools.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors, to support business and compliance objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Auditing, Economics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or similar functions, ideally within an international environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and tax.
  • Proven experience with financial consolidation and reporting systems; ability and willingness to learn and implement new technologies and tools.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, with a demonstrated ability to optimize financial processes and use of technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and data modeling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
