About the Role

The Designer will join the CAD/Design department in Stavanger and contribute to the development of high-quality drawings, models, and visual materials supporting major offshore energy projects. The position works closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and plays a key role in design accuracy and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create
    2D/3D installation storyboards
    and sequences using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
  • Design and model
    steel and GRP subsea structures
    , piping layouts, and components
  • Prepare
    detailed fabrication drawings
    including structures, rigging layouts, alignment sheets, and deck layouts
  • Convert 3D models into detailed drawings and perform
    interface checks
  • Develop
    schematics and P&IDs
  • Apply relevant industry standards (NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, ISO, ASME)
  • Interpret technical and functional requirements from project documentation
  • Support fabrication engineers and contribute to FAT/SIT activities
  • Perform drawing self-checks and participate in peer reviews
  • Provide professional and technical guidance to other designers

Requirements

  • Technical education with coursework in
    CAD Design
  • 5–10 years
    of relevant design experience
  • Strong proficiency with
    AutoCAD 2D
    and
    Inventor 3D
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, flexible work approach
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills in English
