Rystad Energy's Technology team is responsible for providing the delivery channels for our products. This ranges from providing infrastructure to data hosting, data modelling, problem solving, and product or query optimizations. To support our extensive use of Power BI dashboards, we are looking for a person with broad experience in building data models and optimizing Power BI dashboards for performance.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Relational and Dimensional Data Modelling
  • Power BI and DAX
  • Power Query
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and transforming data
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques
  • Experience designing clean and user-friendly dashboards, adhering to best practices
  • Experience working with Power BI Service (workspaces, datasets, refreshes, sharing)

Main tasks:

  • Work directly with the product teams in implementing good Power BI solutions
  • Implementation of data delivery solutions, Power BI Templates
  • Performance optimization of Power BI Reports
  • Data governance
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Power BI
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documentation

Good to have an understanding of:

  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Basic UX/UI principles for effective dashboard design
  • Understanding of Power BI Administration (capacity, gateways, usage monitoring)
