Join our Mobile Security Engineering team

We're looking for a Mobile Security Engineer to help build and evolve Promon's runtime protection for both Apple and Android apps. You'll be part of a focused, collaborative team designing and implementing cutting-edge security features that defend mobile applications against real-world threats.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain our runtime protection solutions for mobile applications (Android or Apple platforms including iOS, macOS, visionOS).
• Research, prototype, and implement advanced protection algorithms and detection techniques to guard against tampering, reverse engineering, code injection, debugging, and other attacks.
• Reverse-engineer and analyze OS internals and third-party tools, then translate insights into practical product improvements.
• Collaborate closely with teammates to build and evolve our security platform in line with OS changes, hardware updates, and new attack vectors.
• Continuously adapt and refine the framework to ecosystem changes (e.g., new iOS/macOS/Android versions, security mitigations), ensuring solutions are both innovative and production-ready.

Must-have skills and experience:

• Strong C/C++ development experience.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux/macOS development environments.
• Hands-on experience with low-level development on either Android (Java, JNI, Android internals) or Apple platforms (Objective-C, Mach-O, dyld, syscalls).
• Solid understanding of mobile system internals and runtime environments.
• Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques (e.g., IDA, Hopper, Ghidra, Frida, LLDB).
• Proven ability to write clean, secure, and maintainable low-level code.

Bonus points for experience with:

• Kotlin, Swift, Python, or SwiftUI.
• Embedded Linux or Linux Kernel internals.
• Assembly programming (ARM/x86).
• Kernel-level security features (e.g., PAC, sandboxing).
• Code obfuscation, anti-debugging, and runtime binary instrumentation.
• Capture the Flag events, app reverse engineering, binary analysis, or other security-related hobbies/projects.
• Prior work with jailbreak or root detection techniques.

Education:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Security—or equivalent experience through work or personal projects
