About the Company
The candidate will concurrently serve as the Technical Manager for the Automobile Repair Shop (Category 03), the Technical Manager for the Vehicle Inspection Agency (Category 03), and a Vehicle Inspector for the Vehicle Inspection Agency (Category 03) (as required by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration: the Technical Manager must first obtain certification as an Inspector). This role is central to technical management and compliance operations in aftersales services. The studio will legally obtain the corresponding licenses.
About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical management and compliance operations in aftersales services, ensuring that all necessary certifications and licenses are obtained and maintained.
Responsibilities
- a) Technical Management at the Repair Shop
- Establish/improve the maintenance quality management system and oversee compliance.
- Resolve complex technical issues and guide daily technical operations in the workshop.
- Train and evaluate maintenance technicians to enhance team capabilities.
- Review maintenance plans and ensure the quality of vehicles before delivery.
- Handle quality disputes and technical conflicts, and liaise with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
Coordinate between front office and workshop to optimize service processes, and assist in handling customer technical complaints.
b) Technical Management at the Inspection Agency
- Establish an inspection quality management system to ensure compliance with inspection standards.
Coordinate inspection activities and liaise with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
c) Responsibilities as an Inspector
- Conduct vehicle inspections according to standards and promptly upload data to the regulatory platform.
Qualifications
- a) Mandatory Qualifications:
Must possess all three certifications accredited by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (to be self-reported by the candidate) prior to employment: - Technical Manager for Automobile Repair Shop (Category 03).
- Technical Manager for Vehicle Inspection Agency (Category 03).
- Vehicle Inspector for Vehicle Inspection Agency (Category 03).
- b) Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, New Energy Vehicles, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in aftersales technical management for new energy commercial vehicles (preference for bus experience).
- 3+ years of experience in team leadership or core technical problem-solving.
- Proficient in the maintenance and diagnosis of three-electric systems (battery, motor, and electronic control).
- c) Competencies and Certifications:
- Capable of independently resolving complex technical issues and developing technical manuals/case databases.
- Familiarity with Yutong, BYD, or European bus technologies is preferred.
- Possession of Norsk Bilforbund advanced maintenance certification, high-voltage electrical safety certificate, or Buss-D driver's license is preferred.
- d) Language Skills:
- Fluent in English and Norwegian (both written and spoken).
- Basic proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
