Oslo, Oslo County, Norway Visma Enterprise AS Full time

At Visma Enterprise, we build ERP and Workforce Management solutions that simplify complex challenges for municipalities, state agencies, and large organizations. With 20+ years in the market and Norway's largest expertise in our domain, we are now investing heavily in a next-generation SaaS product that will set a new standard for our industry.

We are looking for one passionate Software Engineer and one forward-thinking Tech Lead to join us in a newly established product team. Our mission is to help Norwegian municipalities break free from heavy Excel sheets and costly consultancy hours by delivering an off-the-shelf SaaS product that automates Selvkost calculations. The vision is simple: give municipalities an automated solution where complex Selvkost calculations run with little to no human effort — freeing time and resources to focus on serving their citizens.

We work in empowered product teams where engineers, product designers, and product managers make decisions together. By combining continuous discovery and delivery, we ensure that we build the right solutions, validate ideas early, and stay accountable for customer outcomes.

As a Software Engineer, you can expect to:

  • Turn product and design ideas into working, reliable solutions. Take pride in building software that helps customers solve complex problems in simple ways.
  • Collaborate in a product trio with Product Manager, Product Designer, and Tech Lead to explore and validate ideas early.
  • Take shared responsibility for the team's OKRs, ensuring your work supports measurable improvements for customers and the business.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Balance speed and quality, moving fast in early phases while steadily addressing technical debt as the product matures.
  • Actively contribute to keeping the CI/CD pipeline healthy so improvements can ship continuously after pull requests are merged.
  • Use modern AI tools to boost productivity, quality, and speed, while sharing knowledge on how they can improve engineering experience.
  • Share knowledge, provide feedback in code reviews, and contribute to a team culture of openness, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor performance, follow up on bugs and feedback, and ensure the product remains reliable and valuable after release.

As a Tech Lead, you can expect all of the above — and in addition to:

  • Ensure architecture, design, and implementation choices are secure, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Partner with Product Manager and Product Designer to validate technical feasibility early, and share accountability for team OKRs.
  • Uphold standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence, acting as a role model by writing clean, reliable code and reviewing contributions.
  • Continuously evaluate and introduce AI tools that improve productivity, quality, and engineering experience — without compromising security or compliance.
  • Support the growth of engineers through mentoring, feedback, and building a strong technical culture.
  • Take responsibility for observability, incident response, and managing technical debt, ensuring the product remains reliable over time.
  • Monitor industry trends and new technologies, and introduce relevant opportunities into the team's work.

We are looking for

  • Experience as a Software Engineer in modern SaaS products; for Tech Lead, additional experience in technical leadership or architecture.
  • Experience in building applications end-to-end, with fullstack development skills and exposure to public cloud platforms.
  • Strong skills in writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, with a solid understanding of cloud-native development and CI/CD.
  • Curiosity and ability to leverage AI-assisted tools while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Collaboration skills and a growth mindset, thriving in cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal.
  • For Tech Lead: proven ability to guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.

We offer

  • The opportunity to work on strategically important SaaS products used across Norway's public and private sector.
  • Join a highly engaged organization with an eNPS of +63 and a culture built on being entrepreneurial, responsible, dedicated, and inclusive.
  • Work in empowered product teams with modern product practices and outcome-oriented goals.
  • A vibrant learning environment with opportunities to strengthen your skills in AI and enterprise-scale SaaS.
  • Plenty of career opportunities across Visma Enterprise and the wider Visma Group — whether you want to grow as a specialist, broaden your skills, or step into leadership.
  • Flexible work hours and workplace at our Oslo office.
  • A chance to directly influence how AI and modern technology shape the future of ERP and Workforce Management in Norway.

If you're passionate about creating automation through AI technologies and building SaaS products that deliver exceptional customer experiences, Visma Enterprise and our newly established product team, Momentum Selvkost, is the perfect place to bring your skills to life. Apply now for a full-time position. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
