Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Location: Oslo

Duration: 12 month contract with potential extension

Start Date: ASAP

Leap29's client is seeking a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to support ongoing NCS work. Candidates should have 5+ years' technical/process safety experience, including a minimum of 3 years on NCS projects.

Responsibilities:


• Lead HAZID and ENVID workshops


• Perform major accident hazard analyses and safety reviews


• Conduct risk assessments including EFRAs, QRAs and ALARP demonstrations


• Ensure compliance with PSA and NORSOK frameworks


• Input into inherently safer design during concept and FEED phases


• Review and specify F&G detection, ESD/SIS systems and fire protection


• Develop safety philosophies, performance standards and design documentation


• Support commissioning, operations and PSA AoC updates


• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and maintain safety traceability


• Drive HFE implementation in line with NORSOK S 001 and IOGP 454


• Represent technical safety in client discussions and manage contractors

Qualifications & Skills:


• 5+ years in technical or process safety engineering


• At least 3 years working on NCS projects


• Strong knowledge of PSA, NORSOK, DNV, API and ISO


• Experience with PHAST, FLACS and Safeti


• Excel/Python understanding is beneficial


• Fluent in English; Norwegian is an advantage


• Analytical, collaborative, detail-orientated and confident communicating with stakeholders
