About Trevarefabrikken

Trevarefabrikken is a vibrant cultural space in Henningsvær, Lofoten - a place where people gather to enjoy food, music, nature, community, and culture under one roof. Set in a renovated carpentry and cod liver oil factory, we've created a home for a hotel, café, restaurant, bar, yoga studio, sauna, and a lively event space.

The Role: Reception Intern

We're looking for a full-time intern to join our reception team for one semester (5–6 months) and gain hands-on experience in a creative hospitality environment. As a Reception Intern, you'll help ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for our guests – from check-in to check-out, while also supporting the wider Trevare team across events, communication, and coordination.

You'll work closely with the Head of Reception, Hotel Manager, and other teams, gaining real-world insight into hospitality operations, booking systems, event support, and guest-facing service in a space where no two days are the same.

What You'll Learn & DoGuest Experience & Front Desk
  • Welcome and check in guests, and help them feel at home at Trevare
  • Answer guest questions and share info about our offerings (sauna, yoga, concerts, club nights, karaoke, etc.)

  • Help manage bookings via our systems, website, and third-party platforms (e.g. )

  • Communicate with guests before, during, and after their stay

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and breakfast teams to ensure smooth transitions

  • Keep reception and guest-facing spaces tidy & welcoming

Admin, Events & Culture Support
  • Learn how to use booking and task management systems (PMS, Notion, Asana..)
  • Help updating the website, booking availability, guest messaging, pricing and more

  • Assist with guest feedback collection and internal routines

  • Sell tickets and handle basic logistics for cultural events, concerts, and gatherings

  • Support the culture team in preparing for events and sharing information with guests

  • Contribute ideas and energy to a space where culture, hospitality, and community meet

Who You Are
  • A student or recent graduate in hospitality, tourism, business, culture management, or a related field
  • Motivated, curious, and eager to learn by doing

  • Enjoys working with people and brings a friendly, solution-oriented approach

  • Comfortable using digital tools and open to learning new systems

  • Reliable, and flexible - even when things get busy or plans change

  • Speaks fluent English (Norwegian is a bonus)

  • Excited about hospitality that connects people to place, culture, and community
