We are looking for Test Engineers - Electronics

Job Description

  • Create test procedures and write test reports on functional, environmental, and system operation mode testing of custom electronic designs.
  • Build test setups for functional verification of electronic boards such as power supplies, power switches, CPU/MCU boards, power line modems, backplanes, motor controllers, battery controllers, chargers, and I/O modules.
  • Establish setups with automation to conduct environmental testing of electronics with temperature and mechanical exposure stress.
  • Perform qualification testing of electronics according to API 17F for Subsea Control System Electronics compliance.
  • Collaborate with board developers to secure Design For Test (DFT) requirements in products to implement testability in the product designs.
  • Work together with developers and reliability engineers to build Accelerated Life Time Testing (ALT) to create lifetime predictions.
  • Conduct failure analysis of critical failures in engineering, production, and field operation to improve product design and test coverage.

Qualifications

  • BSc or technical vocational school in electronics, automation, cybernetics, or a related engineering field.
  • Ability to approach problems structurally.
  • Open-minded, professional English proficiency, and adaptability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Continuously raising standards, innovative, and solution oriented.
  • Curious with strong problem-solving and collaboration capabilities.
  • Interest in electronics is an additional advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics, AC-DC, DC-DC converters, battery controllers, chargers, controller modules, sensor interfaces (RS4xx, CAN), communication, and networking.
  • Experience with lab test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, spectrum analyzers, communication analyzers for CAN, Ethernet) and hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience with EDA CAD tools like Altium, ORCAD, or equivalent.
  • Ability to create test plans for validation of designs and test methodology to verify product performance.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, MATLAB, etc.) for automation of test data acquisition and analysis.
