Process Control Engineers

To our offices in Trondheim and Oslo we seek new employees:
Process Control Engineers with emphasis on Mathematical Modelling and Nonlinear Model Predictive Control.
Relevant background is a degree (PhD, MSc) in Control Engineering (Engineering Cybernetics), Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Both graduates and more experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
Job description
Those employed, will participate in the development of customer specific model-based control applications, including
- Development of dynamical mathematical models of industrial processes
- Implementation of the models in Cybernetica CENIT
- Adaptation of models to plant data; model verification and validation
- Configuration of estimators for soft sensing applications
- Configuration of model-based predictive controllers
- Development of algorithms for image processing and thermo-camera applications
- Commissioning and installation at customer's plant
All technical work is organised in projects. In addition to delivery projects, there will be some consulting assignments. Some time will be allocated to participation in research and development tasks.
Requirements:
- Relevant higher technical education
- Ability to work independently
- Cooperation ability and communication skills
- Versatility and ability to familiarise oneself with new problems
- Experience in project work
- Good English skills (written and oral).
- Experience in programming and development of mathematical models is a great advantage.
Knowledge of the Norwegian language is not a requirement, but those employed must be willing to learn the language in order to take part in everyday conversation.
