Chef – Bjørk Restaurant, Bodø

Bjørk Restaurant brings people together over great food in the very heart of Bodø. Our kitchen combines Nordic ingredients with Italian inspiration – from wood-fired pizza and fresh fish to flavorful meat dishes and seasonal creations.

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a professional à la carte kitchen with a strong focus on quality, teamwork, and consistency.

The role

As a Chef at Bjørk, you will be an important part of the daily kitchen operation. You will work closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the team to ensure smooth service and high standards in every dish served.

Your responsibilities include:

Preparation and production of food for à la carte service

Working with Italian-inspired dishes, grill, and Nordic ingredients

Ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation during service

Following kitchen routines related to hygiene, structure, and food safety

Contributing to good workflow and a positive team environment

About you

You are passionate about food, reliable in service, and comfortable working in a busy kitchen. You take pride in your craft and understand the importance of consistency and teamwork.

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience as a chef in a restaurant or hotel kitchen

Good skills in Italian cuisine and grill

Experience or strong interest in Italian pizza; knowledge of pizza dough, toppings, and baking is a big plus

Understanding of hygiene standards and kitchen routines

Ability to communicate in Scandinavian and/or English

A structured approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure
