Subsea Engineer
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, engineering, and fabrication of subsea umbilicals and cables.
- Build, develop, and lead the Subsea Umbilical and Cable team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within your scope of work.
- Prepare and manage project documentation in accordance with relevant decision gate (DG) phases.
- Scope and follow up on studies for early-phase projects, maturing the design and deliveries.
- Ensure all work aligns with governing documentation, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Assume full technical and commercial responsibility for the planning, fabrication, and execution of the scope.
Required expertise
- BSc or MSc in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of professional technical experience with umbilical system engineering, design, and fabrication within oil and gas projects.
- Strong competence in umbilical technical requirements and standards (e.g., DNV, API, ISO), including dynamic analysis.
- Solid understanding of project execution, including marine operations and umbilical installation.
Language: English
Location: Oslo (Lysaker), Stavanger, with sporadic offshore travel
