Oslo, Oslo County, Norway NG Nordic Full time 550,000 - 850,000 per year

NG Nordic is a leading Nordic provider of circular solutions and environmental services. By transforming waste into valuable resources and removing hazardous substances from circulation, we are avoiding emissions, protecting natural ecosystems and scaling access to circular materials. NG Nordic is a vital part of the Nordic industrial infrastructure, generating EUR 1,3 billion in revenue with a team of about 3,400 employees and 90 sites.

As a Data Analyst ESG, you will be responsible for developing and refining our data models and analysis tools for sustainability and ESG. You will be the bridge between subject matter expertise and technology – and help us gain the best possible insight, overview and decision support on data collection, analysis and visualization. In this role, you will work closely with both the sustainability experts in the group and the data platform team responsible for integrations, data modelling and the development of analysis tools.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Be the product owner for our sustainability/ESG tools and analyses in Power BI.
  • Build, further develop and maintain robust and effective data models for reporting and insight.
  • Design and develop visual reports and dashboards in PowerBI.
  • Identify trends and patterns that can drive the business forward.
  • Work closely with sustainability experts and translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Identify and implement automations that streamline reporting.
  • Contribute to the selection and implementation of new technologies.

We currently work with modern platforms such as
Snowflake
and
Databricks
in Azure – and the sustainability reporting system is under development.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is curious and committed, eager to learn and independent. You want to be part of a team that delivers valuable solutions for an exciting industry with great potential.

We would like you to have:

  • Higher education in a relevant field.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience working with data and analysis, preferably as a Data Analyst, Report Developer, consultant or similar.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one of the Nordic languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with one or more technologies such as Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or similar.
  • A basic understanding of SQL and/or Python is an advantage.

Much can be learned, but it is important that you have an interest in sustainability, analysis and data modelling, and want to develop both technical skills and business acumen.

We offer
The position is located in our office in Lysaker outside Oslo in Norway, or in our Espoo Office outside Helsinki in Finland. Both locations are well connected to public transportation.

With us, you get:

  • Flexible working hours with the option of working from home.
  • An opportunity to join a forward-looking industry where technology will have a major impact in the future.

About The Team
NG Nordic is the result of a merger of well-known brands such as Norsk Gjenvinning and Fortum Recycling & Waste. The position is part of the Group sustainability team, which is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that we meet regulatory requirements (including EU CSRD).
  • Developing and following up on the sustainability strategy across the Group.
  • Promoting better insight and decision-making.

We are now facing an exciting phase: we are going to modernize how we work with data on a large scale and link our sustainability work more closely to the Group's data platform. We are therefore looking for a
Data Analyst ESG
who will play a central role in shaping the solutions of the future.

Work location: Oslo/Lysaker or Helsinki/Espoo

Start date: By agreement

Application deadline:

We want our recruitment process to be fair and inclusive. That's why we don't ask for pictures or long application letters. Instead, we use screening questions to ensure comparable applications. We do, however, ask for gender information to help us ensure a good gender balance in the recruitment process.
