About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Backup Administrator to manage and enhance enterprise backup environments. You will work with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / Spectrum Protect, Linux/AIX platforms, and Bash automation within complex IT infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain backup systems based on IBM TSM / Spectrum Protect

  • Monitor backup jobs, schedules, and restore operations

  • Perform system administration tasks on Linux and AIX

  • Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation

  • Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance

  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution

  • Analyze and improve backup performance

  • Document procedures, configurations, and incidents

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience with IBM TSM / Spectrum Protect

  • Experience with other backup technologies (preferably NetBackup)

  • Strong Linux/AIX system administration skills

  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation

  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and enterprise IT

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
