The project will be within the machine learning area of the Interne of Medical Things, where the fellow will lead the research and develop the methods. The project will focus on creating an AI-native ecosystem where distributed intelligence and network infrastructure co-evolve in real time. Applied to remote patient monitoring, the project will enable networks that automatically recognize and prioritize life-critical data—ensuring urgent health alerts receive immediate attention over routine measurements.

Qualifications
The qualification requirement is that you have completed a PhD in electrical engineering or computer scient with a strong academic background and publication track record. A minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience in IoT, machine learning, deep learning and federated learning with publications is needed. The candidate should have demonstrated obtaining external funds from the Research Council of Norway or other relevant funding agencies.

Preferred selection criteria
Applicants who do not master a Scandinavian language must provide evidence of good written and spoken English language skills. The following tests can be used as documentation: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).
Minimum scores are:
TOEFL: 600 (paper-based test), 92 (Internet-based test)
IELTS: 6.5, with no section lower than 5.5 (only Academic IELTS test accepted)
CAE/CPE: grade B or A.
