At our site at Ringdalsskogen in Larvik, we are building a team that will drive our digital transformation. As Senior Cloud Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping both our physical and digital products. This is a versatile position, spanning from early design and needs analysis to implementing solutions together with our team.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our digital journey—leading the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud solutions and setting the direction for our cloud strategy. You will have the opportunity to influence how we work, build a strong engineering culture, and help create innovative solutions that matter.

Typical tasks

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions while leading architecture initiatives and setting strategic direction. You will work closely with our head of digital transformation for direction, and with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation projects and support other development teams at Jotron as they integrate and use cloud technologies. In addition, you'll mentor junior team members as our team grows and stay up to date on the latest cloud technologies and industry trends. Collaboration with the IT department will be key as they take on operational responsibilities for the platform. This is a hands-on role where you will also develop production code—both infrastructure as code and our solutions.

Desired skills

Proven experience as a Cloud Solution Architect or similar senior role with extensive experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Cloud Platforms: Expertise in Azure preferably or other AWS and/or Google Cloud.

Cloud-Native Development: Experience with cloud-native technologies and architectures, mostly in the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET, C#, React).

CI/CD & DevOps: Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and automation tools.

Microservices: Experience in designing modular (microservice) architecture and implementing it.

Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, or alternatively Bicep or Pulumi.

Databases & Storage: Experience with cloud databases (SQL, NoSQL), storage solutions, and data pipelines.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus).

Legacy system modernization: Affinity and experience with modernizing and cloud migration of legacy applications from various technology stacks.

Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Strategies: Experience in integrating on-prem and cloud solutions.

Networking & Security: Understanding of cloud networking and security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance).
