Mission
We are seeking a strong, highly autonomous Senior Maritime Sales Manager to develop and expand our business within the Norwegian maritime market and its ecosystem. Based in Oslo, you will act as a key commercial driver for growth, working closely with shipowners, offshore operators, technical departments, and innovation teams.
This is not a reactive sales role: you will proactively engage and challenge stakeholders on how to optimise vessel operations, improve DP and navigation performance, reduce fuel consumption, and adopt advanced digital and green technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage strategic accounts in Norway whose fleets are seeking next-generation navigation and Dynamic Positioning.
- Develop tailored commercial strategies for highly technical segments (DP, simulation, navigation, control systems, offshore operations)
- Manage the full sales cycle with strong technical pre-sales involvement
- Promote advanced navigation, optimisation, simulation, and DP-related solutions to technical stakeholders
- Build and maintain a solid CRM-driven pipeline
- Develop and manage a network of partners (integrators, shipyards, OEMs, technical consultancies)
- Represent D-ICE at industry conferences, customer workshops, and on-site customer meetings in Norway
- Conduct market and competitive analysis
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to management
- Contribute to contract management and technical-commercial coordination
Profile
Required Skills & Experience
- MSc degree in Engineering (marine, mechanical, electrical, automation, systems, robotics…) or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in the maritime or offshore industry: DP, automation, navigation, control systems, simulation, subsea, or related fields
- Experience selling complex, technical, or engineered systems (not limited to software)
- Ability to understand customer technical challenges and translate them into actionable solutions
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a consultative, trust-building approach
- Ability to independently structure, plan, and execute a sales strategy
- Fluent in English and Norwegian. Any other language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently in Northern Europe
