About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Geotechnical Engineer
to join our onshore team in Oslo. The role focuses on
hands-on fieldwork, geotechnical analysis, and design
, supporting safe and sustainable foundation and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will work on projects across
Energy, Infrastructure, and Highways
, as well as urban development, water, and transportation sectors, contributing to technically challenging and high-profile developments in Norway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigations and Analysis:
    Perform subsurface investigations (borings, test pits), analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions, and interpret geotechnical data.
  • Geotechnical Design:
    Create designs for foundations (shallow and deep), slopes, embankments, and earth retention systems.
  • Landslide Remediation:
    Develop and implement solutions to mitigate landslides.
  • Risk Assessment:
    Evaluate and mitigate geologic risks, including settlement and slope stability issues.
  • Project Support:
    Provide technical support throughout a project's lifecycle, from feasibility studies to construction supervision.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil and structural engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Technical Reporting:
    Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications based on investigations and analyses.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Geotechnical Engineering
    ,
    Civil Engineering
    , or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience
    in geotechnical field investigations and design, preferably on onshore projects.
  • Strong expertise in
    soil, rock, and groundwater analysis
    , in-situ testing, and geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Experience in
    Energy, Infrastructure, Highways, and urban development projects
    is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Norwegian and European geotechnical standards (e.g., Eurocode 7).
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills in
    Norwegian and English
    .
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across Norway.
