Job Purpose

Supervise structural engineers as well as other discipline engineers to support projects and tenders.

Job Description

Independently perform structural design and analysis and supervise structural engineers performing structural engineering design and analysis. Create, review and approve technical engineering documents. Attend project design reviews and constructability reviews. Provide sound engineering advice on subsea structural analysis and design to ensure efficient and cost-effective fabrication, handling and subsea installation. Ensure technical compliance and quality as well as on‐time‐delivery of all responsible deliverables. Lead a group of designers and engineers as well as provide guidance on structural designs. Instruct and interface with designers and engineers to ensure quality of structural drawings and alignment with structural design and analysis. Estimate cost, time and resources required as well as support tenders and projects activities. Attend meetings with project teams and interface with clients and be able to provide engineering recommendations and solutions. Manage contractors and engineering consultants to ensure technical compliance. Drives innovative solutions to optimize subsea structures and improve efficiency. Demonstrate commitment to safety and quality through participation in safety and quality initiatives. Attend appropriates industry related professional society meetings and functions in order to stay informed, influence and make good use of new technologies, products and personal development opportunities. Travel to and attend site as required to assist and guide implementation of equipment onto an installation vessel or offshore facility. Travel to and attend site as required to guide, inspect or oversee fabrication of structural items. If required, move into an installation engineer or package manager role for a temporary period to assist with project resourcing. Travel offshore with a vessel or onto an offshore facility to assist with the installation of project equipment and occasional meetings.

You are meant for this job if:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with 5 - 10 years of experience in Subsea Structures. Strong technical skills in engineering. Strong project management skills Good presentation and coaching skills. Good to have: APIRP 2A WSD, AISC 9th ASD, DNV-ST-N001, API 17L1, API 17 L2. Good to have: SACS, ANSYS, ABQUS.
