Job Description

The purpose of this position is to lead, facilitate, and support testing and validation work including but not limited to pre-FAT and FAT activities. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that the Lab spaces are properly equipped with tools, equipment, and instruments required, and facilitate systems and procedures to ensure that the Lab spaces and related equipment are organized, accessible, and calibrated when needed.

Be the technical engineer in our team supporting Ceragon Networks Products. Carry out setup and testing on Ceragon’s equipment.. Main focus will be on setup, verification, validation, and testing of complex Radio & Antenna configurations, while contributing to identifying issues or risks, as well as actively proposing improvements and solutions to any issues identified. Radio link & network planning using appropriate software. Be part of the Technical Lead to resolve customer problems with a focus on Radio Transmission issues. Ability to analyze complex problems within own area of expertise and arrive at reasoned conclusion/recommendation. Cooperate closely with other units and sections of Ceragon Networks.

  Responsibility:

Responsible for creating and maintaining an organized Lab environment including but not limited to:

 o Monitor, plan, and execute Calibration of equipment as needed to support project and FAT activities with minimal impact on deliveries

o Review new and coming orders and ensure sufficient equipment and material is available to support production activities (such as pre-FAT, FAT)

o Organize and maintain tools and equipment to ensure it is in good working order and is easy to locate. The responsibility also comes with the mandate to create and enforce rules, to require other employees to follow these rules, and to take action against anyone who is in violation of the rules/policies including restricting access until corrective actions are completed.

Responsible for accomplishing the assigned project tasks within planned time frame. Good understanding of Design processes. Contributing to and leading continuous improvement of processes. Broad awareness of quality standards. Responsible for the quality of sub-systems of a design. Ability to analyze complex problems within own area of expertise and arrive at reasoned conclusion/recommendation. Able to plan developments in terms of timescale and resource. Will mentor design engineers on technical issues and contribute to assessment of training needs. Support and assist in implementation of projects, both on execution and financial analysis.

Authority  

Execute the task according to planned timeframes and company guidelines Enforce Lab related workspace rules related to the use and storing of equipment, tidiness, Lab safety rules, etc. Immediately report to line manager any major deviations

Requirements

Good general competence within the field of Telecommunications- and Data Networks, Mechanics, Electrical installation. General knowledge and experience with Radio communication systems and diagnostic methods highly desired. Good understanding of the company’s and department’s business targets. Good English language competence, both oral and written. Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization. Personal characteristics: Bachelor within applicable field (Preferable) Minimum 3 years of experience within the field  Productive and result oriented Creative and solution oriented Structured and analytic work methods Team worker and motivator Good communication skills Open for changes Strategic and visionary
