The role is to safely and effectively conduct and maintain an overview of the operation on the worksite.

The ROV Supervisor has the authority to delegate operational tasks to members of the team. The responsibility remains however for the delegated tasks.

Your Key Tasks

Operation:

Think and plan ahead for the next operational steps to ensure a safe and effective operation.

Ensure to be up to date and liaise with all team members, vessel management, client with regards to weather forecasts and any immediate changes.

Responsible for positioning vessel and subsea equipment with utmost focus on safely and efficiency.

Report any anomalies (observations or occurrences).

Be available at all time on deck during mobilisations and demobs keeping an overlook over the

operation, give a helping hand and or ensure the highest safety standard are followed.

Adhere to the standardised shift hours for the position on board.

Attend the general shift briefing prior to the ongoing shift if implemented at the worksite.

Operational documentation:

Take notes as required throughout the 12-hour shift and perform a sufficient shift handover.

Carry out Toolbox Talks at the beginning of each shift as required by the project.

Review and comment on upcoming task plans and or work procedures.

Review End of Job Reports and or site observation.

Logistics:

Check the use and endorse pre-work and project equipment checklists.

Responsible for updating the log of Company Provided Item (CPI) and or project equipment according to the worksite standard.

Ensure that any damaged CPI or project equipment is removed from service and quarantined as required, reporting all defects to Client accordingly.

Follow up regularly that the applicable ROV certificates and control cards are stored.

Ensure that adequate stocks of spares and consumable supplies are maintained.

Human relation:

High focus on good utilisation of personnel resources.

Motivate and follow up the team members.

Maintain high ethical standards within the team and with regards to communication.

Perform ROV Trainee Development or other evaluations on members in the team 

HSEQS:

Be familiar with and keep order in project documentation.

Become acquaint on Company generic operational and administrative procedures.

Promote awareness and understanding of HSE throughout the operation.

High focus on reporting of incidents. Hand in good and valid observation cards when required.

Knowledge and endorsement of Company and project KPI targets and performance.

Familiarised in relevant IMCA and Company safety flash memos.

Your Key Measurables

Oil spill to be as low as possible

Trainee and other members of the team are developed

YOUR DEMONSTRABLE EXPERIENCE 

Typically minimum 5 years offshore in the subsea industry

Specific experience will typically be requested for operations involving (not limited to): Survey, Construction, IMR Operations, Decommissioning, Subsea inspection

Showing capability for maintaining overview and control of multiple running operations

Significant and valuable general technical understanding

Strong written English and excellent verbal English communication skills

Excellent leadership qualities and interpersonal skills to motivate others on efficiency and safety

Customer focused

Open minded social and reliable team player

Undergo assessments proving to be competent in the position

Computer knowledge in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams) and Navipac / Helmsman.
