ROV Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities
As a ROV Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems. This includes:
- Participating in operational activities with the ROV spreads and providing technical advice as required.
- Assisting in the operation, repair, and maintenance of the ROV spreads, including ROV, TMS, Winches, ROV Handling system, CCTV systems, Communication systems, PLS, Hydraulic systems, Mechanical systems, ROV Tooling, and ROV Sensors.
- Ensuring that relevant equipment-related matters are brought to the attention of the ROV Supervisor.
- Notifying when Company technical documentation is considered to be updated.
- Maintaining the ROV spread to the highest standards.
- Reviewing the manner in which equipment is being operated and reporting any activities that may subject the equipment to damage or create unsafe conditions.
- Employing logical fault-finding techniques during breakdown situations.
- Assisting in commissioning, testing, and monitoring of appropriate equipment as required.
Technical and Operational Documentation
- Taking notes as required throughout the 12-hour shift and performing a sufficient shift handover.
- Carrying out Toolbox Talks at the beginning of each shift as required by the project.
- Ensuring that specific rules and regulations applying to lay systems and operations are adhered to.
- Being informed on any contractual requirements applicable to the lay system for the project.
- Preparing, organizing, and completing planned maintenance in accordance with relevant checklists.
- Keeping records of defects to assist in planning of re-fits and maintenance periods.
- Following OEM maintenance and operation procedures.
Logistics
- Endorsing and adhering to pre-work and project equipment checklists as required.
- Ensuring that adequate stocks of spares are maintained and or on order.
- Maintaining high ethical standards within the team and with regards to communication.
- Ensuring that new personnel and or trainees receive familiarization on all ROV spreads, and are given adequate guidance and training, according to a planned development program.
HSEQS
- Being familiar with and keeping order in system documentation.
- Becoming acquainted with Company generic operational and administrative procedures.
- Adhering to and endorsing Company rules and standards and using these in the everyday work.
- Promoting awareness and understanding of HSE throughout the operation.
- Having a high focus on reporting of incidents.
- Attending and being a resource during system audits.
- Being knowledgeable and endorsing Company and project KPI targets and performance.
- Familiarizing with relevant IMCA and Company safety flash memos.
Demonstrable Experience
- Maintaining an overview and control of complex ROV operations.
- Having excellent technical understanding within ROV systems.
- Being able to read and understand complex electrical and or hydraulic drawings.
- Having strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Being able to work at height comfortably and safely.
- Being customer-focused.
- Being an open-minded, social, and reliable team player.
- Undergoing assessments proving to be competent in the position.
- Having computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, TM Master, Navision, Synergi, Hardcat, and DocuShare.
