Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maritime Operations Specialist to join our Safety Risk and Reliability section in Maritime Advisory. The successful candidate will be employed within our 18-month maritime trainee program organized by the Norwegian Shipowners Association, starting in August 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments on new technologies, digitalization, and decarbonization in the maritime industry.
  • Assure fit-for-purpose vessels for safe, sustainable, and efficient operations.
  • Perform safety assessments of systems, technologies, and operations.
  • Analyze AIS data and ship traffic to gain insights and create customer value.
  • Develop new services to meet customer needs, considering trends in autonomous shipping and decarbonization.
  • Manage financial and commercial aspects of projects to ensure success.
  • Cultivate customer relationships and provide follow-up support.
Requirements
  • Fluent Scandinavian and English oral and written communication skills.
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., MBA).
  • Basic knowledge of the maritime sector and its regulations.
  • Interest in safe decarbonization and digitalization of shipping.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented skills.
  • Commercial and business-oriented mindset.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
