Holo is looking for Safety Operators for our Operations team in Oslo

Are you looking to become an expert in autonomous vehicles and help take mobility in the Oslo area to the next level?

As a safety operator for autonomous vehicles, you are an integral part of our new team to actively drive forward this innovative area of mobility. The project started in January 2023 and has evolved a lot since then. You will be part of a team of safety operators to test, validate and assist with providing proof-of-concept for autonomous vehicles in public transport in Oslo.

What you can expect

This is a great opportunity to quickly gain knowledge and expertise in operating and supporting state-of-the-art autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to operating a fleet of autonomous vehicles. You will be part of a culture of teamwork and a healthy, high-performing environment with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, such as:

  1. Ensuring the service of the autonomous vehicle in a large suburban area
  2. Providing detailed feedback on driving experience, safety performance, security, passenger impressions and other topics of interest to internal departments
  3. Collecting and uploading data and log files
  4. Light user maintenance of the vehicles
  5. Being part of a team of safety operators in a time-sensitive and demanding environment
  6. Handling any incident as defined in relevant training
  7. Hosting passengers and explaining about Holo and related technologies

This is a full-time position in our office and garage in Oslo; Grorud Valley. Most of the shifts are expected to be from afternoon to evening, both weekdays and weekends, according to the local regulations.

Please note that we only consider applicants already living in Norway with a work permit.

What we are looking for

As a person, you are outgoing and well-organised. You are a proficient driver with many years of experience, and you are always able to focus on the task at hand. You can stay calm under pressure and you work well alone as well as with others. You are able to work independently while staying coordinated with the rest of the Holo team.

What you need to succeed:

  1. Type B drivers license (Førerkort klasse B). Driving record must not include: DUI violations, at-fault driver incidents with casualties or serious injuries or severe traffic violations within the last 3 years
  2. Able to obtain Norwegian "Kjøreseddel"
  3. Advanced driving experience, such as go-karting, professional driving, racing, etc.
    • The ability to anticipate failures, appropriate maneuvers and mitigate risky situations before they appear
  4. Strong English language skills - both written and verbal
  5. Affinity for technology. You will use computers to interact with the vehicle, and your ability to learn and understand these systems will be a strong advantage
  6. Service-oriented, outgoing and communicative when there are visitors in the vehicle
  7. Flexibility to work both mornings and afternoons to evenings, and weekends

It's great if you have:

  1. Previous experience with professional driving, such as racing, taxi driving, truck driving or similar
  2. Experience in training others
  3. Experience with autonomous vehicles
  4. Experience with the Linux operating system

The interview process

You will be evaluated by our certified trainers of autonomous driving, both with interviews and driving sessions in a regular car. You will be evaluated on the previously mentioned requirements for the position, your cultural fit and your ability to handle stressful situations.
