Projects & Engineering at Odfjell Technology is growing, and we're looking for a skilled and driven Project Managers and Project Responsible Engineers to join our team. With a strong presence in Bergen, Stavanger, Aberdeen, and Manila, we deliver recognized engineering services and are now scaling up for the future.
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering ongoing projects and driving new opportunities forward. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in a company that values standardized processes, knowledge sharing, and a strong one-team culture.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, or equivalent education. Relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in engineering/project management within the offshore industry.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Norwegian.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion.
- Typical projects include studies, concept work, modifications, upgrades, SPS (Special Periodic Services), compliance assurance services (AoC/SUT), reactivations, third-party installations, yard stays, offshore installations, asset inspection services, structural integrity management, marine and maintenance engineering services, energy savings and emission reduction, and energy management plans/combined energy management.
- Handle tenders/bids, define the scope of work, estimate costs, time and resources.
- Follow up on project execution (engineering, procurement, construction, installation, mechanical completion, commissioning, as-built, close-out, and experience transfer).
- Manage projects with a focus on scope, time, cost, QHSE.
- Communicate with involved stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet relevant legal frameworks, regulations, and requirements.
- Manage projects and prioritize resource requirements with the line organization.
- Contribute to the development/improvement of systems and routines for the department's project execution process.
- Secure commercial framework conditions and involve supply chain management.
- Travel as needed (offshore, yard stays, supplier follow-up of deliveries).
- Technical understanding of drilling equipment, facilities and systems. Other areas of experience is interesting.
- Proven experience in project deliveries and meeting key customer expectations.
- Experience with SPS (Special Periodic Services)/renewal surveys is an advantage.
- Committed to safety with knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with applicable authority and classification requirements for drilling and marine facilities and equipment.
- Knowledge of applications as IFS, SAP, STID, Procosys, Safran is an advantage.
- Proficient in IT tools such as Microsoft Office.
