Job Purpose

To perform subsea discipline engineering tasks assigned by the responsible Senior or Principal Engineer in order to achieve project objectives. To ensure safe execution of the assigned work scope and provide on time quality deliverables.

Job Description

  1. Undertake discipline engineering tasks as required by projects and tenders.
  2. Comply with corporate standards, client requirements, legislation and industry standards.
  3. Deliver high quality, safe and environmentally responsible engineering solutions.
  4. Maintain a schedule for assigned work scope and associated deliverables.
  5. Originate / review engineering deliverables as required by the Project review process.
  6. Provide guidance and mentoring to Graduate Engineers.
  7. Interface with Engineering and Drafting teams on project requirements.
  8. Participate in formal and informal reporting to the assigned Senior / Principal Engineer and Discipline Lead on progress of engineering tasks and key issues.
  9. Provide field engineering support to assist fabrication, testing and construction activities.
  10. Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to discipline engineering.
  11. Assist Discipline Engineering Manager in development of Discipline Engineering Guidelines and Processes.
  12. Proactively participate in HSE initiatives and standards including JSAs and Risk Assessment.
  13. Initiate and lead after action reviews related to offshore installation and commissioning in order to gather lessons learnt and implement actions as required.
  14. Provide the onshore technical support for ongoing operations, troubleshooting field issues, root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions when capable.
  15. Investigate and dispose of service or quality notifications, including root cause analysis and ensuring preventive actions are implemented where required.
  16. Acts as a quality improvement project participant.
  17. Assigned to execute smaller work packages and scopes related to Subsea Services and work independently with supervision and mentorship.
  18. Assist the Principal or Senior Engineer or be responsible for planning and execution of subsea services project. This includes reviewing technical documents needed for operations, e.g. rig books, installation, commissioning, preservation, maintenance etc. as well as Life of Field support.
  19. Active involvement in field activities. Actively participates in the FAT/SIT & collaborate with the product team during the design stage, pre-operational planning, onshore and offshore technical support, maintenance operations, troubleshooting field issues, root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions.

Subsea Services Hardware/Mechanical:

Participate in Product Group Design Review and responsible for the creation or updating of the relevant Hardware related documents (i.e ICP, HFT, TST, THI, PSM, and pneumatic/hydraulic Schematics) when required. Responsible for product related engineering inclusive of subsea tree, tubing hangers, connector system, manifolds, flying leads, Umbilical Termination Assembly, Distribution Modules and all associated tooling.

Subsea Services Controls:

Participate in Controls Product Group Design Review and responsible for the creation or updating of the relevant controls related documents (i.e ICP, TST, THI, PSM, Wiring Diagrams, Network Topology, IP address list, etc.) when required. Provide the onshore technical support for ongoing Controls related operations, troubleshooting field issues, root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions for the FMC Controls Systems. Responsible for product related controls engineering scopes and equipment inclusive EPU, MCS, Smart Tool, SPCTU, PHPU, TUTU, networking.

You are meant for this job if:

  1. Engineering Degree relevant to the discipline.
  2. Computer literate.
  3. 2-3 years or relevant industry experience. Prior offshore experience is preferred.
  4. Detailed knowledge of at least one TechnipFMC or related subsea product line or good knowledge of multiple technologies, products and applications.
  5. Good understanding of engineering practices, design methods and calculations.
  6. Solid analytical and problem solving, systematically utilizing prevention skills.
  7. Ability to read, interpret, & prepare applicable technical information & suggest design or process changes to ensure simple, functional, & cost-effective results.
  8. Offshore experience (desired).
  9. Prior experience with Subsea Production System equipment is desired (desired).
  10. Demonstrate hands-on experience (desired).
