We are seeking an experienced and driven Information Technology Manager to join our team in Svalbard. As the IT Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure and systems of our company. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that our technology resources are efficiently utilized to support our business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all information technology systems including hardware software networks and security measures
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations
- Manage a team of IT professionals including hiring training and performance evaluations
- Evaluate the companys current technology needs and make recommendations for upgrades or new systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and develop solutions that support their goals
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends to ensure our company remains competitive
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in an IT management role
- Strong knowledge of hardware software networking and security systems
- Experience managing a team of IT professionals
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to develop IT strategies aligned with business objectives
Salary 1100$ Location Svalbard with accommodation provided
This position is suitable for students who have completed their studies in information technology or a related field
