TGRC is seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Project Developer to join our renewable energy team, focusing on wind and solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project development, engineering, and renewable energy technologies. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strategic planning to drive the successful development and implementation of wind and solar energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Development: Lead the end-to-end development of wind and solar energy projects from site identification through to construction and commissioning.
  2. Feasibility Studies: Conduct and oversee technical feasibility studies, site assessments, and resource analysis to determine project viability.
  3. Permitting and Compliance: Manage the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and securing all necessary approvals.
  4. Technical Design: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed project designs, including site layouts, equipment selection, and grid connection solutions.
  5. Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Develop project budgets, perform financial analysis, and work closely with finance teams to secure project funding.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with landowners, local communities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and secure project support.
  7. Vendor and Contractor Management: Identify and manage relationships with key vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  8. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  9. Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, permits, and compliance records.
  10. Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, prepare status reports, and ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Innovation and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in renewable energy project development.
Qualifications:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on wind and solar energy.
  3. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of wind and solar energy technologies, project design, and grid integration.
  4. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects.
  5. Project Management Skills: Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets, and timelines.
  6. Experience in project financial modeling, budgeting, and securing project financing.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  8. Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate technical and regulatory challenges.
  9. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and across different departments.
  10. Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software, GIS tools, and other relevant technical applications.
