Telenor is now seeking a Vice President Network and Infrastructure to join our Technology Strategy and Partner Ecosystem team. If you are a proven strategic leader with a track record of independent action, trustworthiness, and strong people relations skills, this role is for you.

As our new VP Network and Infrastructure, you will lead technology and partnership development with a team of 4 experts to drive business value within Telenor's network and related infrastructure. We believe you combine visionary understanding of outside trends, and good business understanding, to develop relevant and actionable actions for technology development in Telenor. You seek to develop partnerships to ensure scale, agility and quality in the approach.

The role is crucial in setting goals for team deliverables and prioritization of initiatives towards internal customers, and to ensure the technology directions are relevant and impactful for our business. Your ability to lead inclusively, inspire the team, and foster strong connections with Business Areas will be essential.

Some of the main responsibilities:

  1. Develop and lead a diverse team of experts, building an inclusive and positive culture.
  2. Implement technology strategic directions and architecture principles applicable for Telenor, including all Business Areas (Telenor Asia, and Telenor Procurement Company).
  3. Build and develop relevant strategic partnerships and engagements required to deliver on the strategy and business ambitions.
  4. Lead with integrity and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team and across Business Areas, ensuring strategy directions and partnerships are enabling our businesses.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with executives and experts in the business areas, with partners and the industry ecosystem, ensuring alignment and execution of technology strategies.
  6. Demonstrate exceptional people management skills, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential.

Preferred experience and qualifications:

As our VP Network and Infrastructure, we believe you have a minimum of seven years of experience in the technology sector, particularly in roles that involve technology strategy and partnership development within Networks (mobile and fixed), Infrastructure and Cloud. You have a proven track record in delivering large scale technology programs such as technology transformations, modernization and optimization towards operational excellence and excellent customer satisfaction.

Relevant experience in other related fields can be considered.

To succeed in this role, you need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set directions and identify solutions to manage complex and changing issues. Furthermore, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, is crucial.

We believe experience from a large and multi-national organization is an advantage as well as higher relevant education. You will bring a business and outcome mindset founded on strong understanding of technology.
