We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven individual to join our team as Sales Manager - EMEA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business development efforts related to LR cutting-edge classification, compliance and advisory solutions. As a pivotal member of the Sales team, you will leverage your expertise to identify, cultivate and secure new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime solutions sales, with a proven track record of success in business development and demonstrate success in growing business within sales territory for both new and existing clients.

The role

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and market penetration for vessel performance solutions. Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments, with a focus on expanding market share.
  2. Business Development: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and strategic partnerships. Generate and qualify leads, and develop a robust sales pipeline. Proactively engage with key decision-makers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue from existing accounts.
  4. Sales Process Management: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and support for clients.
  5. Market Intelligence and Reporting: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management. Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track and manage sales activities and customer interactions.

What you bring

  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the maritime industry. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a strategic business development role.
  2. Skills: Strong strategic thinking and business acumen. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of vessel performance solutions and the maritime industry. Ability to articulate technical concepts and value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated and results-oriented. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel extensively as required.
